１、repair technique（修復技法・補修法）

意味：壊れた器を元の形・機能に近づけるための方法全般。

使い方：金継ぎの説明や他の技法と比較するとき。

Kintsugi is a traditional repair technique for pottery.

This technique highlights cracks instead of hiding them.（隠すのではなく“見せる”美学）

言い換え：restoration method / mending method（美術寄り＝restoration）

２、join with lacquer（漆で接合する／つなぎ直す）

意味：割れたパーツを漆（urushi）で接着し、その上に金粉などを施す工程を指す自然な言い方。

型：join A with B（AをBで接合する）

We join the pieces with lacquer, then dust gold powder on the seams.

The lacquer cures, creating a durable bond.（硬化して強い結合に）

補足語：adhesive strength（接着強度）、seams（継ぎ目）

３、beginner method（初心者向けのやり方／簡易法）

意味：体験教室で安全な代替素材を使い、短時間で完了できる簡易金継ぎを指す。

使い方：安全性・所要時間・仕上がりの違いを説明。

In class, we use a beginner method with safe materials.

The beginner method is faster, but traditional lacquer takes longer to cure.

言い換え：introductory method / simplified method

メモ：本漆使用の伝統法＝traditional urushi method、代替樹脂などを使う場合＝modern resin method と区別表示が親切。
